On Day 3, your luggage is loaded into our licensed private commercial vehicle in Shanghai. During your visual composition exploration of Master of the Nets Garden (网师园) and your peaceful tea pause on Pingjiang Road (平江路), all suitcases remain locked inside the vehicle with the driver on duty. In the late afternoon, you drive smoothly to Hangzhou, arriving directly at your hotel without carrying luggage through stations.
No technical mountaineering gear is required. The Nine Creeks in Misty Forest (九溪烟树) trail is a shaded, gentle nature walk (~5 km standard route over dirt tracks, stone stepping bridges, and flagstone paths). Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers with good grip are sufficient. The route can be shortened to 2 km at any moment, with our private support van waiting at the trail terminus.
Not at all. This tour is designed for anyone who appreciates visual beauty, mindfulness, and an unhurried pace. Your guide provides intuitive framing tips (such as using lattice windows to frame courtyard trees or capturing reflections in garden ponds) using either smartphones or DSLR cameras, allowing you to absorb the scenery without technical pressure.
No. Morning mist, atmospheric fog, sunsets, and biological harvest stages are natural meteorological and ecological phenomena that follow their own calendar. While our guides optimize schedules for the best seasonal lighting and tranquility, specific weather and biological phenology cannot be contractually guaranteed.
Our farm lunch takes place in an authentic, family-run farmhouse in Meijiawu (梅家坞). The meal focuses on fresh seasonal country cooking (fresh bamboo shoots, free-range chicken, mountain greens). In strict accordance with our 100% No-Shopping commitment, no retail pitches or commercial sales transactions are permitted during the meal or subsequent tea tasting.
In light drizzle, Nine Creeks (九溪) takes on an evocative, misty beauty celebrated in Chinese landscape paintings; umbrellas and shoe covers are provided. In cases of severe thunderstorms, high winds, or squall warnings that make forest trails slippery, outdoor hiking is replaced with visits to the China National Tea Museum (中国茶叶博物馆) or indoor tea culture workshops.
Yes. Local Zhejiang cuisine relies primarily on vegetable oils and fresh seasonal produce rather than heavy dairy. We work directly with our village kitchen hosts in Meijiawu (梅家坞) and boutique dining partners to guarantee dedicated nut-free preparation and strictly plant-based vegan/vegetarian alternatives seasoned with fresh ginger, scallions, and cold-pressed tea seed oil.
Yes. On Day 5, after the tea terrace lunch and tasting, our chauffeur can transfer you to Hangzhou East Railway Station (杭州东站) for the 45- minute bullet train back to Shanghai Hongqiao, or arrange direct private highway vehicle transfer back to downtown Shanghai or Pudong Airport upon request.
