We recommend arriving at Hangzhou East Railway Station (杭州东站) or Xiaoshan Airport (萧山机场) before 11:00 AM on Day 1. This schedule ensures an unhurried check-in and allows us to time the Guo’s Villa (郭庄) garden stroll and West Lake (西湖) sunset photography during optimal afternoon golden hour lighting conditions.
No technical hiking gear is required. The Nine Creeks in Misty Forest (九溪烟树) trail is a scenic, shaded nature walk (standard route: ~5 km; gently graded along dirt tracks, forest stepping stones, and flagstone paths). Comfortable walking shoes or trail sneakers with good traction are sufficient. The route can be shortened to a 2 km gentle stroll at any moment, with our private support vehicle waiting at the trail terminus.
No. Nature follows its own calendar. While Xixi National Wetland Park (西溪国家湿地公园) is a premier ecological haven home to egrets, cormorants, and seasonal flora (persimmon trees in autumn, reeds in late fall, plum blossoms in late winter), wildlife sightings and specific bloom stages are natural phenomena that cannot be guaranteed in contractual delivery.
Our tea-terrace lunch is hosted in an authentic, family-run farmhouse in the hills of Meijiawu (梅家坞) or Longjing (龙井). The purpose is to savor hyper-local home cooking (fresh bamboo shoots, organic mountain greens, and free-range village chicken) and observe local microclimate terroir. In alignment with our 100% No-Shopping commitment, no commercial sales pitches are permitted during the meal or subsequent tea tasting.
In light rain, both Nine Creeks (九溪) and Xixi Wetland (西溪湿地) take on an ethereal mist celebrated in Chinese landscape art; umbrellas and shoe covers are provided. In cases of severe thunderstorms, high winds, or squall warnings that halt sculling boats, outdoor segments are replaced with the tea-scented pavilions of the China National Tea Museum (中国茶叶博物馆), imperial Southern Song kiln ceramics appreciation, or indoor tea meditation workshops.
Rather than noisy, crowded diesel motorized ferries, we feature hand-sculled wooden pole boats (摇橹船 / Yaoluchuan) through Xixi’s tranquil inner water corridors. This allows guests to glide silently beneath weeping willows and reed marshes, creating an intimate, acoustic environment ideal for birdwatching and photography.
Yes. Zhejiang cuisine relies primarily on vegetable oils and fresh seasonal produce rather than heavy dairy. We work directly with our village kitchen hosts in Meijiawu (梅家坞) and boutique dining partners to guarantee dedicated nut-free preparation and strictly plant- based vegan/vegetarian alternatives seasoned with fresh ginger, scallions, and cold-pressed tea seed oil.
Yes. Both the Nine Creeks (九溪) valleys and Xixi Wetland (西溪湿地) reserves maintain full 5G cellular coverage. Guests are provided with an active high-speed China data SIM/eSIM, and your guide carries a first-aid kit, insect repellent, and direct priority communication channels to our Hangzhou operations base.
